Chapter 3: The Scene

'Why will some one kill him. He is a Saint. I used to listen to him every time i felt low. Oh! Guruji'. Dhruv was looking at the dead body of Mahatma Swaminanda Ji. He is well known as Guruji. People loved him because of his simplicity and his devout to God. He was missing from the last two days. Police was searching him and his body lied here calmly, as if it was speaking thousand words. Every one in that room was silent. Dhruv and Rajiv were looking at the Dead body and others were looking at their faces.
'Professor, i know its a shock for you, but believe me none of us wanted this to happen. It was a coincidence. And to reveal the mystery had Guruji has always buried inside his heart, i called you here.'
'But who killed him and why? Are you people someway related to this death?'
'This happened two days ago. One of our security Guards, was stationed at the Nalanda institute, which is now ruins. This day he finds some five to seven men entering the place and later none was visible. The guard was confused. He searched for the people all day long but could not get any of them. Later in the evening, he finds someone walking near the same place. He calls that person, but the person runs. He is holding a book with him. The guard thought he is stealing something from this place. He asks the person to stop otherwise he gives warning that he will shoot. The person speed ed up. The guard was confused and fired on his leg. The same time that person bow down and threw the book into the fire burning nearby. The bullet hit his back and the person stumbled to death. Later the Guard found it was Guruji. When he saw the book, he just found a page which was not burnt. He got the entire set of the ashes with himself. There are bits and pieces left. But the mystery is, what was contained in that book that Guruji did not stop even at the warning. Who were those people. The page we found, was written in an old Indian language and makes little sense to us. I have read a number of Journals written by you regarding such languages which used to exist. I thought, you would be the best person to be called.', Rajiv finally grasped air, explaining him the situation.
'May i have a look at the paper.'.
'Wait for a while. It has gone for our biological testing to find more details about the paper. It is the only thing that we have. We cant even show his body to someone as it will just create nuisance and will bring bad reputation for the country as we can't even protect our national pride. Well you must be tired after coming from such a long journey. Sit down and have a cup of tea. We discuss things after a while. Hope you did not have any problem?'
'Not at all. Just was a bit surprised why i was being called so urgently.'
Rajiv picked up the phone and ordered for Tea and even talked something about a document. Tea arrived soon. Dhruv who came from such a long journey was relishing it. He was too tired and needed a break. After a while, a person entered the room. He got a metal frame. He kept it on a desk and went. Dhruv kept his glass of tea, and began scrutinizing what was written on the paper. He was looking at it with perfect concentration. Finally shooking his head.
'Does this paper make any sense to you, professor?.'
'This is an Indian Writing probably dating some 5 centuries ago. The language is called Devoshabd. It is first proper language that was developed still known by us. But there are just handful of them who know it and that handful is too little and very rare to find. People say such scripts can only be read by great saints and have got words from the God. Unfortunately, i don't have much information about this language. '
'That is not a good news.!! Do you know some one who could help us. You are from this field. You must be having some knowledge.'
'I just knew one, and that person lies dead. Its Guruji. He was a perfect contact for all such languages. He mastered all the old Indian languages and learnt a lot when he visited places. He used to say that even clildren have got a language. Just that this world can never understand it. '
'So there is no way that we can find the truth, behind his death?', Rajiv eagerly asked.
'Wait. Might be i know someone who knows just this language. Yes, she was made for this day.'
